Stewards run dining rooms and bars in Officers’ and Sergeants’ Messes (hotel facilities) and accomodation.

Trained in silver service, you’ll serve food and drinks to hotel and club standards, making sure that your customers have everything they need on the ground and in the air.

As an RAF Steward you’ll cover a far larger field of professional experience than your civilian counterparts could ever hope for: running dining rooms, bars and reception offices in Officers’ and Sergeants’ Messes, working in field dining rooms and accommodation, and as cabin crew.

The training lasts for nine weeks.  In the training you will do so many things and meet a lot of people - it’s really fun!
In this time you’ll learn about all aspects of the role so you will be really well prepared and confident when you get your first posting at an RAF base.

Being an RAF Steward is a fun and rewarding career.  The days can be long and you’ll work hard but you will come away with a sense of pride that you’ve done a good job!
